People ‘disappeared’ after cleaning up at Auckland Airport

Authorities are looking for Kory-Dean Wirihana, 36, who disappeared from Auckland Airport after registering a flight to Christchurch on Friday morning. He cleaned up the safety, but did not board the plane, prompting an emergency appeal from police and family.

Wirihana plans to compete in Christchurch basketball. According to his family, he was last contacted at around 4 a.m. Friday (April 18). Find his phone and luggage and hand it over to the lost property office at the airport. His car was stolen a few weeks ago, leaving him without personal traffic.

“He disappeared from actually the airport,” a family member wrote on social media. They expressed concern about Wirihana’s mental health, noting that he has been struggling after losing his partner recently. “Brothers home,” the post reads.
Police say Wirihana is about 178 cm tall and has a thin figure. They urged any information about their whereabouts to contact them immediately by calling 111 and citing document number 250418/7495.
