Manchester City star Phil Foden caught fire in the middle of the night after his cousin’s house caught fire.

Ms. Owen initially took her two young children out of the property and brought it to the safety front before she bravely re-entered.

The fire is believed to be caused by a defective extractor fan in the first floor bathroom.

Shocked by the news, a source close to Premier League footballer revealed that he is now helping Codie and her children find a place to live in her house, which has been restored.

They told sun:’Phil was really upset when he heard what was going on. He’s really close to Codie.

“They were best friends and spent a lot of time together as a kid. He sees her as his sister and hangs out with her children.

“He is now helping her find other accommodation because she can’t return to the house due to the smoke damage.”

One adult and three children were taken to the hospital for preventive examination. Staff attended for two hours.

The fire on the cousin’s property happened two days after MailOnline reported how the midfielder listed his mansion for sale for an intoxicating price of £3 million.

Foden moved out of the huge property in Prestbury, Cheshire after a raucous party last year led to police summoning.

Now he lives with his family in a more isolated house in the countryside, but still at the commuter distance of Manchester City Training Ground.

Priced at £3.25 million, the mansion has its own cinema, indoor pool and five bathrooms.

It also has its own gym, bar, hot tub and plenty of garden with swings and trampolines and comes with private electrical security doors.
