A dismembered body was found on a tourist beach in Gran Canaria.
The 41-year-old Colombian country Triana Arias was stabbed before the killer tried to dismember her body.
According to police, Ms. Arias texted that she was going to the party but had not seen him alive since.
Later, a public found her body on April 27 on Enanos Beach in San Andres, after trying to dispose of it elsewhere.
Arias had a part of her neck cut off and police believed she was unconscious when the killer tried to dismember her legs.
Police arrested a bar owner in Las Palmas on Tuesday for alleged murder.
His bar was also blocked when law enforcement searched the business, and an armed guard was stationed outside, according to The Sun.

Forensic experts at Las Palmas College of Forensic Medicine (IML) conducted a preliminary investigation on the site before conducting an autopsy.
According to Spanish news media Canarias7, the incident was “shocked and paid attention to” by locals.
As the investigation is underway, police have not ruled out other arrests.
The owner of the bar association is expected to appear on Thursday.
