Workers find death in Kasaragod

A 28-year-old migrant worker clashed late at night between workers near the building built by the Indian Muslim Union Commission Office (IUML) Commission Office in Anabagilu, Kasaragod on Monday (21 April 2025).
In connection with the incident, police have detained five people, three from Kasaragod and two from Palakkad.
The deceased was identified as Susantha Roy, son of Subhas Roy, a West Bengal native. According to police, the incident occurred around midnight on Sunday. Roy was reportedly found in a coma at the scene and was taken to General Hospital (GH) in Kasaragod, where he was pronounced dead at about 1 a.m. on Monday.
A case of unnatural death has been registered. While initial suspicion suggests alleged fights at the construction site, the detained claimed that Roy had been attacked by an unidentified person reportedly arriving at the motorcycle.
Police said that only a detailed autopsy can confirm the exact cause of the death.
