Naidu branched with advanced BABU

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu sent a strong signal to the state bureaucracy on Sunday by avoiding one of the top officials RP Sisodia, the Chief Secretary for the Special Commissioner, comes from the critical income (land management, registration and stamps) department after some of his staff alleged mass corruption.

Sisodia has given handlooms and textiles in the industrial sector. The Chief Minister also deprived Sisodia of the Director-General of the AP Human Resources Development Institute. Official sources told Deccan Chronicle Intelligence DepartmentD conducted a thorough investigation into the tax department’s corruption allegations and submitted a report a few days ago.

It all started with Sisodia appointing retired forest officers as special duty officers (OSDs) in the tax department. Neerab Kumar Prasad, then-presiding secretary, strongly opposed the appointment, and he pointed out in the archives that it was a violation of the rules. The CS at the time also wrote to the Information Technology Department to disable the provisions extended to the OSD to view and clear revenue files online.

Sisodia, who is passionate about using OSD services, transferred him to a society working under the tax bureau. Until a few months ago, a group of land-related archives fell into the Secretariat faced retired officials and asked for a delay in explanation. Sources said the situation became less than a big deal when some domestic staff discussed tapes about the removal of archives of the revenue documents surfaced during the investigation.

The Chief Commissioner of the Land Administration, G. Jaya Lakshmi, has been fully responsible for Sisodia, while IT Secretary Bhaskar Katamneni is asked to handle the HRD Institute until further orders.

Mutyalaraju Revu, who served as the special secretary of former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, has been waiting for release since the replacement of the guards, and he became a commissioner of the National Institute of Rural Development. K. Madhavi Latha is also awaiting release and has been appointed CEO of Rythu Bazaar.
