Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting with the highest defense agency on Saturday (May 10, 2025), taking stock of emerging security situations amid a growing military conflict with Pakistan.

Officials said Prime Minister Modi’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, three service directors and defense minister Anil Chauhan reviewed the security programme and developed strategies for future action plans.

The conflict with Pakistan has intensified the armed forces’ response to Pakistan’s attempts to target Indian facilities.
India said on Saturday (May 10) that Pakistan’s troops were moving troops to the forward region as the two countries continued to attack each other’s military facilities.

“It is observed that the Pakistani military is moving troops to the border areas,” said Colonel Sofiya Qureshi at a press conference with Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Foreign Ministry Secretary Vikram Misri at the press conference.
