Penna Cements MD gives away 7 kg gold crown at Vontimitta

Anantapur: Penna Cements Managing Director Prathap Reddy awarded three diamond-raised gold crowns to Kodandarama Swamy Temple in Vontimitta, Kadapa district on Friday.
The crown weighs 7 kg in total and is part of the ongoing celebrations of Sri Rama Navami Brahmotsavalu and Kalyanotsavam. Accompanied by his family, Reddy owns Darshan, who presides over the deity, and holds a special ritual before handing over the crown to TTD chairman Br Naidu and executive Syamala Rao.
The priests later adorned the gods, namely Kodandarama, goddess Sita and Rakshmanna, and were crowned with magnificent crowns. The TTD authorities have brought Prathap Reddy and his family to surrender by providing Prasadam and Seshavastram. The gesture is hailed as an important dedication to the celebration of the temple.
