During the visit to the area, the Prime Minister announced the first commercial flight from Hisar to Ayodhya and laid the foundation for the new terminal of Maharaja Agrasen Airport.

Now scheduled for regular flights between Hisar and Ayodhya (twice a week), as well as three weekly flights to the city, including Chamu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Chandigarh, Hisar Airport is expected to be an important regional hub.
