PM Modi’s NITI Council Presidential Meeting in May

New Delhi: Niti Aayog will hold its 10th Council meeting later this month under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Council is the highest body of Aayog, including all state chief ministers, Union Territory lieutenants, special invitees, as well as several union ministers, as well as members and senior officials of Aayog. The last meeting of the Council was held in July 2024.

Although the agenda of the meeting has been set, the Council is expected to focus on promoting entrepreneurship, employment and skills to capitalize on the dividends of the country’s population.
The center announced incentive plans for employment links in 2024, including upgrading industrial training institutions (ITIS), focusing on job opportunities and skills. The person cited above said that at the meeting, states will be privatized for implementation of these plans, while focusing on enhancing the convenience of the business.

The idea is to help India transition from a middle-income country to a high-income country focused on the development of women’s leadership.


Sources said the focus may be on reforming the governance model in the states to encourage civic participation, with a focus on reform and transformation for inclusive and sustainable growth. Additionally, the Centre may urge states to form Aayog-like institutions at the state level to help develop and align their growth agenda with the vision of Viksit Bharat in 2047.
