Hyderabad: Police have submitted a fee form in the 2023 Swapnalok Complex Fire Mishap case where six employees of Qnet Vihaan Call Center were killed, accusing building management of serious negligence and failure to implement fire safety measures.
Fee No. 209 of Crime No. 49 of 2025 filed by the city police, without the naming of QNET or its Indian franchise Vihaan Direct Selling (India) Pvt Ltd, which the employee named.
The investigation confirmed that responsibility for safety compliance is only tied to the construction authorities and not to such commercial tenants.
The allegations filed by the police are reportedly named Pathan Azhar Ali Khan, son (30) of Pathan Ahmed Ali Khan, and are representative No. 16 of QNET (A-16).
The investigation has taken steps after registering the Suo Motu petition in the High Court of Telangana. Deccan Chronicle On March 17, 18 and 19, 2023, the title “6 people died in Swapnalok Blaze” was ordered and detailed inquiries were ordered.

Following the charge sheet, Vihaan issued a statement saying it faced significant negative media attention and was wrongly involved by various groups. “Although there is no certain evidence, some media and individuals have tried to portray Vihaan as the culprit, including unconfirmed reports claiming that the victim is working in the “illegal office” run by Vihaan, now claiming that there is no basis,” it said.
In April 2024, the Bangalore AHD City Civil and Conference Court issued an interim order restricting the unverified or defamatory statements of QNET by the Association of Victims of Financial Fraud, Vihaan said.
