Why is Mitchell Marsh not going to play against Gujarat Titans’ IPL 2025 Lucknow Super Giants?
Lucknow Super Giants Mitchell Marsh did not play against the Gujarat Titans on April 12. In the five games he played this season, Marsh scored 265 times, with an average of 53.00 and a strike rate of 180.27.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) approached the Gujarat Giants (GT) in the sixth game of IPL 2025. This exciting conflict is taking place at the Ecana Stadium in Lucknow. LSG captain Rishabh Pant won the game and decided to bowl first. Unfortunately, LSG will miss their main opener Mitchell Marsh in this game. During the tossing period, Rishabh shared that Marsh and his daughter were uncomfortable. Himmat Singh will step in his shoes.

Marsh’s absence was a major setback for LSG as he performed well this season. The right-handed batsman scored 72, 52, 0, 60 and 81 in his final five innings, making him a key player on the team.
Replaced by Marsh is Himmat, a talented player in Delhi who has a record of success in domestic cricket. He led East Delhi drivers to win in the inaugural DPL last year and has experience in Delhi’s Ranji Trophy team and junior roster. Despite not having a chance to compete in IPL 2019, LSG acquired Himmat for Rs 3 million in IPL 2025 Mega-auction and gave him his debut against GT.
In a strategic move, the Gujarat Giants swapped Khejroliya for Washington Sundar, suggesting that the course conditions may favor spinners in the upcoming game.
