Police crack school water poisoning case, adilabad area charged with arrest

A Idada police arrested the defendant in Gongtudu Village on Wednesday after the shocking incident occurred in the lunch kitchen of Mandal Parish Primary School in Adilabad area by misunderstandings.
A major tragedy was avoided Tuesday after alerting school staff to notice pesticides mixed with water and sprayed on the school kitchen tableware, sources said, and the door lock was broken Tuesday morning.
The shocking incident has caused widespread condemnation by parents of nearly 30 students in state-owned primary schools.
According to police, the defendant entered the kitchen on Monday night after the lock was broken. Preliminary investigations revealed that he allegedly sprayed pesticides on cookware before escaping.
Sources said he was caught in a family dispute and was frustrated by his tension with his relatives. The exact motivation behind his despicable behavior has not yet been determined.
After the complaint from the school principal, Ichoda police registered a case and conducted a detailed investigation.
Police booked Soyam Kishtu under Articles 329 (4), 324 (6), 324 (6), 331 (8) and 332 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
