Police Leaf will not approve until normal returns: Karnataka Minister

He said the state government must work effectively anywhere, especially in coastal areas.
The minister explained: “Learning from our past experience of war, the security of the coastal areas should be strong. We must be vigilant along the entire coastal line, from Uttar Kannada to Dakshina Kannada.”
According to Parameshwara, there are three layers of security in the coastal areas, which are arranged by the police, by the port and by the Indian Navy.
He also said Siddaramaiah will chair a meeting with family and tax bureau officials to review the state’s preparations for any situation. He explained that the Chief Minister would review the availability of basic commodities and all other equipment to deal with any crisis that could arise after a “similar situation in the war” of the country. “All necessary arrangements must be made, such as ensuring the supply of food cereals, basic commodities, water, hospitals and medicines. It’s just a preparation,” Parameshwara said.
The minister said during the meeting, the chief minister will also discuss any latest recommendations that the centre might have come from the centre the day before.
He added that the center has issued a series of consultations to all state governments. Therefore, the Karnataka government has taken measures.
“We have tightened the security of sensitive locations and around them. We have also identified some locations where suspicious activity may occur. We have been sensitive to all locations in the state.”
