Police officer murdered for an affair in Nandia

Kurnur: Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP) police officer Mulla Farooq (36) has been missing for four days and was found murdered near Parkchara in the Naramara Forest region. Farooq is a Kotakandukuru native of Allagadda Mandal, who serves in the Elite octopus department of Mangalagiri.
Farooq reportedly left Nandyal on April 8 under the pretext of attending shooting training in Visakhapatnam. When his phone remained unreachable, his family complained at the Mangalagiri rural police station on April 14.
According to police, Farouk has established an extramarital relationship with a woman from Nandamuri Nagar, Nandyal, who had previously lived in Pedda Kammaluru and later moved with her daughter after she was separated from her husband. Farooq often sends financial support and household goods through a young acquaintance called Shabbir.
Over time, Shabbir was romantically associated with the woman’s 18-year-old daughter. Although the woman initially opposed his marriage proposal, the matter continued. Meanwhile, Farooq allegedly began to harass the young woman, prompting her to talk to Shabbir.
Shabbir gets angry and sees Farooq as a threat to his relationship, conspiring with his friend Rizwan. A few days ago, they attracted Farooq to the Chagalamari area, to drink and murder him. Initially, the body was dumped locally, but was later moved to remote forests near Dorabavi Bridge in Naramara to avoid discovery.
The SP Adhiraj Singh Rana area has ordered a detailed investigation. Farouk’s body was transferred to North Nar Government Hospital for autopsy.
