It is reported that over the past five years, Kia has lost about 900 vehicle engines at its Kia manufacturing plant near the Sri Sathya Sai district, worth approximately over Rs 5,000 crore. Police said the FIR was filed based on a complaint from Kia management 10 days ago.

This revelation triggered an investigation into the incident, which is considered a major security breach, and has the potential to have a “internal perspective”.

According to Penukonda police, Kia Motors filed a complaint on March 19 after the discovery of lost cargo during regular internal inspections. Police V. Ratna’s sheriff and senior police officers immediately inspected the Penukonda factory’s factory, although the factory is expected to be visited regularly.

Preliminary investigations observed that there may be a theft during engine transport from Chennai to Penukonda. “This is not done in one go. We have the information that the factory provides the engine to various media in the country after receiving the dent.”

One version is for indents of four engines, and five are said to be delivered each time. This is just a skeptical angle based on dent verification. “We will verify CCTV footage not only in and around Penukonda, but elsewhere on important national highways and transport routes,” a police officer from the investigation team said. Police are expected to question several employees and representatives of various Shell companies around, including those who retired during the relevant period.

Speech Hindus, SP (Penukonda sub-civision) proxy. Officials did not rule out the “internal angle”.

The discovery of the theft, involving a range of stages of the car engine, has caused a big conundrum among police and Kia personnel since 2020, and is shocked by the entire automotive industry in India and abroad.

However, Kia officials have not made any statement on the incident so far.
