Pollachi Sexual Assault Case: Protecting the Identity of Pollachi Case Survivors while Granting Compensation: Court

The Mahila court in Coimbatore made a verdict on Tuesday in the sensational Pollachi sexual assault case, which has directed authorities to ensure the protection of survivors’ identities when promoting reparations.
Judge R. Nandhini Devi, under order, directed the Central Bureau of Investigation inspector Pachaiammal Sampath Kumar and the All-Women Special Deputy Inspector of the Police Department of Pollachi to foster survivors in front of the regional legal service agencies without revealing their true identity and any compensation to create before the regional legal service agencies.
On Tuesday, the court ordered a total compensation of Rs 8.5 million to Rs 7 among the eight survivors in the case. [contrary to all eight mentioned in earlier reports]. Under the judgment order, a survivor was identified as a âFâ and other legal documents and was not reviewed as a witness prosecuting. The other seven survivors were described as A, B, C, D, E, G and H to protect their identities. The compensation awarded by the court for the seven survivors is – a, Rs 2 lakh; B, Rs 1.5 lakh; C and D are Rs 1 lakh; E, Rs 8 lakh; G$ 1.5 lakh; and Rs 2.5 lakh.

Stalin announces Rs 2.5 lakh per person to survivors
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Stalin announced that all survivors in the case provided Rs 2.5 lakh compensation to all survivors, except for the total compensation ordered by the trial court, of Rs 8.5 lakh. He said the courage of women who have the courage to fight for justice is commendable.
