Chennai: Chief Minister MK Stalin announced to each of each of the eight survivors of the Pollachi sex scandal in 2019 that they will receive the amount, which they will receive, over Rs 8.5 lakh, was ordered to be paid to all by the Coimbatore Women’s Court to all to sentence nine men to life imprisonment on Tuesday.
An official statement on Wednesday praised the women for their courage to file complaints against men who sexually assaulted them and fight for justice.
The court has ordered Rs 8.5 lakh to be paid through the District Legal Services Bureau.
