Big Rathotsavam held in Vontimitta

Anantapur: Religious savings and enthusiasm mark the seventh day of the annual Brahmotsavams at Sri Kodandarama Temple in Vontimitta, Kadapa area, marking Rathotsavam.

The traditional wooden chariot parade begins at 10:30 am and slides along the streets of the temple until it reaches Ratha Mandapam.

In addition to local devotees, the residents of the surrounding villages also pulled the huge wooden chariots with religious joy and enthusiasm. Brahmarathotsavam began after offering Poojas to Lord Kodandarama Swamy, goddess Sita and Lakshmana’s Utsava deity.

Other EOs of TTD CH. Venkaiah Chowdary, Jeo Veerabrahmam, engineering officer, Dyeo Natesh Babu and others participated in the festival. TTD authorities continued Annadanam and provided water and butter milk to devotees in the hot sun.
