Postgrad students’ link to Pak Intelligence stands out after being arrested in different cases

Kaithal (Haryana): A senior police official said on Friday that the 25-year-old graduate student at Pakistani intelligence agency had been out of the question during another incident. Astha Modi Police Department Police Chief Astha Modi said the accused Devender Singh from Guhla area in Kaithal district was arrested, and the police officer Astha Modi police chief Astha Modi said photos of him uploading photos on social media were registered on Sunday.

During the investigation, Singh was reported to have been studying for a master’s degree in political science at a university in Punjab and went to Pakistan in November last year, SP said.

She said he allegedly contacted Pakistani intelligence agencies during the visit and he remained in touch with them even after he returned.

“We have grabbed his phone and sent it to forensic analysis,” Astha Modi said.

When asked if he had sent any sensitive information, the senior police officer told PTI: “He admitted to sending some photos of Patiala Contonment by clicking on the pictures outside.”

“We also reviewed his financial and checked his bank account,” she said.

The latest incident follows another case’s high heels, in which a 24-year-old Nauman Ilahi was arrested in the Panipat district for allegedly providing sensitive information to some people in Pakistan.
