Power Sharing across States – Hinduism

fToday, Eastern Modernization and interstate relations are making headlines, and some are for good reason.
In recent months, Telangana, held by Congress, has reached an agreement with Odisha and Rajasthan of the Bharatiya Janata party and meet their power needs by comparing previous forecasts. The state in particular wants to expand its share of renewable energy in its total, prompting it to seek hydropower and Rajasthan to obtain solar energy. Rajasthan and Himaal are both looking for more opportunities to optimize their potential for generating capacity, respectively, than internal solar and hydraulic sources.
On the one hand, these agreements reflect interstate cooperation. On the other hand, they reflect policy continuity at the national level, from the previous regime to the current Narendra Modi government, which makes this goal.
“The measures taken by Dr. Manmohan Singh makes inter-regional and inter-state transmission easy and manageable through the State Grid,” said Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister of Telangana.
The Telangana government established a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Rajasthan-owned company Rvunl through Singaporeni Company Collies Limited (SCCL) to form a joint venture with the aim of forming a joint venture in Telangana and 1,500 MW Solar solar Energy and 1,500 MW Solar Energy in telangana and Rajasthan, Rajasthan, Crrorre crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore crore SCCL will own 74% of the equity share and RVUNL will own 26% of the equity share.
The agreement establishes a framework for inter-state cooperation to meet the long-term power requirements of both countries. It enables SCCL to enhance basic load capacity while greatly reducing power generation costs by integrating cost-effective solar energy during the day. The program is designed to provide affordable, reliable and sustainable electricity to Telangana consumers. Mr. Malu stressed the importance of this partnership, describing it as a transformative initiative that demonstrates collaborative governance and sustainable energy programs.
Minister of State of Rajasthan (Independent Allegations) Heeralal Nagar said: “Rajasthan has great potential in solar energy. We stand ready to work with all states in the country and anyone who invests in the solar field in Rajasthan, keeping in mind Narendra Modiji’s vision in all goals, including the vision of RAJAS, including certain goals. By 2030, we are committed to achieving that goal.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Telangana Government and the Himaal Pradesh Government is a strategic collaboration that leverages the rich hydraulic potential of Hill State and Telangana’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions. The proposed projects – Seli (400MW) and Meyar (120MW) – will promote the growing demand for clean energy in Telangana and help achieve long-term energy security. These projects have been nominated to be assigned to Telangana Genco.
“These agreements are win-win situations,” said Chief Minister of Hima Al Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. The power generated by Hima Al Pradesh will be shared between the two states until Telangana transfers the project to Hima Al Pradesh in 40 years.
Mr Mallu said that due to the ever-expanding economy and increasing domestic demand, Telangana’s electricity demand grew faster than expected. The Central Power Administration expects demand to grow by 8% between 2023-24 and 2024-25, from 15,623 MW to 16,877 MW. But it grew 9.85% to 17,162 MW.
“One thing is to meet the overall demand. But it’s also important to ensure we increase our share of renewable energy,” he said. “The land prices in Telangana are too high for solar energy and there are not enough hydro project sites.”
All of these states want to deepen their collaboration in the energy sector to drive economic growth and meet the growing power needs of their citizens.
