The heritage walk from Charminar to Chowmahalla is very good

Hyderabad: On the occasion of World Heritage Day, a heritage walk from Charminar to Chowmahalla Palace here was taken on Friday morning.

The walk was organized by the Deccan Heritage Academy Trust with the Archaeological Survey of Hyderabad Circle (ASI), the Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC), the JBR Academy of Architecture, Better Hyderabad and other civil society forums.

Professor GSV Suryanarayana Murthy, historian, student and other VIPs, is represented by the South District of the International Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS).

Suryanarayana Murthy made a speech during this period highlighting the importance of heritage walking and sharing insights into Charminar’s historic and architectural heritage.

Participants crossed Charminar, Laad Bazar, Motigalli, Murgi Chowk, Iqbal Ud Doula Devdi, Qurshid Jah Bahadur Palace and Khilawat before the end of the majestic Chowmahalla Palace. The walk participants provide a life experience from Hyderabad past, marking the grand mansion, centuries-old mosques and vernacular architecture, reinvigorating the pride of the city’s rich and diverse cultural history.
