‘Prepare to give life for India’: large crowds in Chandigarh respond to civil defense calls amid tensions with Pakistan

Amid the escalation of tensions between India and Pakistan, young people gathered in Chandigarh after local announcements called on civil defense volunteers to announce. After the announcement, long queues were seen throughout the city, with hundreds waiting to register as volunteers to help with civil assistance.


“We are here to serve the country. We have filled this form (for volunteering).” said Parambir Singh, a resident of Chandigarh. Another local, Sanjana Arora, stressed that they all want to help the Indian army and call up for the ongoing provocation in Pakistan, which is a number of provocations.
