President approves sanctions for prosecution against Lalu Prasad on land

Official sources said President Droupadi Murmu has approved the prosecution of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Director and former Union Minister Lalu Prasad in the alleged approval of a scam on the land, which was allegedly investigated by the Law Enforcement Bureau (ED).

They said Ms. Murmu had granted permissions under CRPC Section 197(1) and 218 of 2023.
