At Fortis Hospital in Nagarbhavi, multiple organs were successfully retrieved and donated from a 28-year-old victim of a road accident who died after the road accident.

The young man was taken to the hospital for severe head injuries to his head and his oral bleeding was in a state of severe unstable condition. Upon arrival, a CT scan of the head showed a rapidly enlarged blood clot in the brain. Despite immediate medical and intensive intervention, his condition continued to worsen. Later, the patient was declared brain death.

“In amidst deep sorrow and grief, the family agreed to donate the organs of a loved one, including his eyes, lungs, liver, heart valves and kidneys, as well as his skin. The entire multi-organ search process took about five hours,” the hospital said in a press release.

The donors’ organs saved the lives of eight people in various urban hospitals in Bengaluru, with both eyes donated to Narayana Netralaya, both to Manipal Hospitals, Liver Hospitals to HCG Hospitals, the Heart Volves to Manipal Hospitals, and a kidney hospital.

A second kidney was transplanted to a 41-year-old woman in Nagarbhavi, a 41-year-old woman who has suffered from kidney failure for the past seven years. The lungs and heart valves are transported immediately through the green corridor, created between Fortis Hospital Nagarbhavi and Manipal Hospital Hal roads, covering about 20 km in just 29 minutes, the release said.

Pradeep Kumar S., Medical Director of Nagarbhavi Fortis Hospital, said: “We pay tribute to donors and deeply appreciate the selfless decisions of families embracing the decision to donate organs and providing gifts of life to those in need. This life-saving donation is impossible. Without the dedication of our medical team, it is impossible to encourage the supply of machines and encourage their supply machines to encourage their supply machines and inspire people and to use it to inspire people and Sotto, we hope our dedication will be saved. Save more lives.”
