Mumbai: The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) announced a star-studded idol players on Tuesday, including Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav, Shryas Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane.
The T20 Mumbai League returns after six years of rest, with the third edition scheduled to be held at the Wankhede Stadium from May 26 to June 8.
MCA President Ajinkya Naik said: “We are delighted to unveil eight idol players who have performed well on the domestic and international stages. They represent the spirit, legacy and excellence of Mumbai cricket.”
Each franchise will be allowed to select an icon player as part of their team, adding experience and star power to the lineup. According to the press release, the MCA will announce the auction date soon.
The event will feature eight teams.
