Rguhs plays role from Ramanagara campus in March 2026

The university’s vice president Bhagavan BC said all administrative and educational activities at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) (RGUHS) will be held from the Ramanagara campus in March 2026.
He said at a Monday press conference that construction work for university buildings is in full swing. “Works in the Administration Building and the Medical School will be completed in March 2026. After that, all departments of the university will be transferred to the new campus immediately,” he said.
“Construction costs are as high as Rs 6 billion. Of this Rs 30 billion, 30% of the work has been issued and the contractor has been directed to complete the work, and the work has been completed by the end of December 2025. However, the issue of obtaining land from farmers is confusing. This has led to some delays and now we are working to address the March deadline, which is the second-hand line for 2026.
“RGUHS is in good financial condition. We are a self-sustaining university and have no funds received from the state government. We run the university only from the affiliation fees of students and universities. Currently, there is a fund of Rs 16 lakh in the university's account.”
