PSC Mobile Court does not stop orders

Hyderabad: The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has appealed to the High Court to challenge the interim order of a single judge who stopped sending a letter of appointment to successful candidates in Group 1 review, which is held in 563 posts.
The judge complained about the evaluation of the main examination answer sheet while handling a batch of petitions on April 16 and directed TGSPSC until further orders, but allowed the certificate verification process to continue.
Certificate verification was completed on April 22, and the additional secretary of TGPSC, R. Sumathi, appealed to the High Court, challenging the order of the single judge. She believes the orders jeopardize the recruitment process and affect many candidates who work hard and are on the verge of ensuring employment. Restrictions will lead to improper delays in filling key administrative positions across departments. She claims that the convenience balance is in favor of TGSPSC.
TGPSC highlights its compliance with standard practices, stressing that the evaluation of answer papers is transparent according to guidelines comparable to the United Public Service Commission (UPSC). The answer script is evaluated by qualified subject experts, including experts who are proficient in Telugu, English and Urdu. The Committee stressed the need to maintain integrity and prevent inappropriate impacts and the identity of the assessors was kept confidential.
The committee disclosed the number of assessors for each topic and paper in a press note on March 13, enhancing its commitment to transparency. It reiterated that no differences occurred during the assessment process and that the claims made by the petitioner were speculative and intended to arouse unnecessary suspicion in a fair selection process.
