When PSL matched the Indian Premier League this season, the cricketer opted out of PSL, resulting in PCB giving him legal notice on suspicion of contract violations.
The Pakistan Cricket Council has suspended South African all-around Corbin Bosch from the Pakistan Super League for a year, so it was selected in the draft.
Bosch was the diamond pick for Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL draft and was later signed by the Mumbai Indians as an injured replacement in the current IPL. When PSL matched the Indian Premier League this season, Bosch chose to withdraw from PSL, causing PCB to issue legal notice to him for suspected contract violations.
Bosch expressed regret for withdrawing from PSL and apologized to Pakistan, Peshawar Zalmi fans and the cricket community. He assumed full responsibility for his actions and accepted the consequences, including fines and injunctions.
He acknowledges the lessons he has learned and hopes to return to PSL with a new dedication and regain the trust of his fans. I am very sorry that I decided to quit the PSL and sincerely apologize to the people of Pakistan, the fans of Zalmi Peshawar and the wider cricket community. To the big fan of Zalmi Peshawar, I really apologize for letting you down, including my actions, including my fines, and accepting a difficult responsibility. Experience and hope to return to PSL with new dedication and fans’ trust. Corbin Bosch said, as Espncricinfo cites.
PSL is usually held between February and March, but it has moved to April and May windows as Pakistan is packed with international schedules. This change led to a conflict between Pakistan’s T20 Top Championship and the 18th edition of the cash-rich IPL.
The tenth edition of the PSL began on April 11, when defending champions Islamabad Federation hired Lahore Qalandars in Rawalpindi.
