Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait urges India to intensify tensions over Pahargam attack

Dubai, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait expressed deep concerns about the escalation between India and Pakistan on Wednesday, and in the wake of the Pahargam terrorist attacks, both sides called on both sides to exercise the crisis through diplomatic channels and resolve the crisis. “Concerns about tensions between India and Pakistan and the ongoing fires along the border areas,” the Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, “The Kingdom calls on both countries to demote, avoid further escalation, avoid further escalation, and resolve disputes through diplomatic means. ”

It urged India and Pakistan to uphold the principle of good neighboring countries and strive for stability and peace for the welfare of their people and regions.


Kuwait’s foreign ministry said in a statement that it “feels very concerned and interested” in tensions between India and Pakistan. It said: “The Ministry affirmed Kuwait’s firm and firm position in supporting the diplomatic process and stressed its resolution of all regional and international issues.” The statement said: “The Ministry also called on all parties to exercise self-control, avoid escalation, and to comply with the provisions and rules of international law and the principles of good neighbors to achieve constructive dialogue that achieves regional and international security and stability.”

Since the 2019 Pulwama strike, terrorists opened fire on April 22 in Jamu and Pahalgam in Kashmir, killing 26 people, mainly tourists.
