Radicals slammed Suryapet DMHo for inaction against illegal hospitals, fake doctors

Hyderabad: Although the area’s medical and health departments have not taken any decisive action at the roundtable on Sunday, despite violations of the violations at several private hospitals and diagnostic centers for unauthorized or qualified personnel in the Suryapet district, the district’s medical and health department has not taken any decisive action, it said at the roundtable on Sunday.
The discussion was organized by the Telangana Youth Federation, focusing on the deterioration of health care for the poor, the spread of fake doctors, and the silence of the government. At the party, Telangana Youth Federation Governor Anantula Madhu said: “The DMHO failed to even take action on the clear evidence of the Telangana Medical Committee’s examination, indicating shocking negligence. He must be suspended immediately and a full inquiry should be conducted.”
He mentioned a surprise examination conducted nearly two weeks ago by members of the Telangana Medical Committee, which found that some private hospitals and Suryapet’s Apple scanning centers were operating without mandatory registration or qualified staff. He said that despite the breach of the Council, the regional authorities failed to act decisively.
On May 2, activists filed a complaint with other collectors asking for action against the unlicensed facilities. DMHO officials then issued a display notice, but reportedly failed to follow up. “The week is over. Despite its own warning, no action has been taken.”
Speakers claimed that the centers violated the provisions of the National Medical Commission Act (2019) and the PCPNDT Act (1994) and used fake degrees and misleading patients. Questions were raised about how DMHO can grant licensing and renewal without verified eligibility or medical registration.
Telangana Janasamithi State Secretary Kuntla Dharma Rjuna said the government has abandoned its responsibilities in ensuring public health. “Education and health care are now out of reach for the average person,” he said, calling for state-level complaints against the so-called medical mafia in Suryapet.
“Healthcare has become a pile of sour grapes for the poor. We need to collectively fight with the inaction of this mafia and DMHO,” said Kothapalli Shiva Kumar, district secretary of the Popular Party.
Speakers from the Association of Journalists, Student Unions and Civil Society have similar requests. They say that not only action must be taken, but also action must be taken against officials who have activated or turned a blind eye to such violations.
