Railway Safety Specialist will inspect the Karaikal-Peralam line on May 23 and 24

The 23.5 km Karaikal-Peralam Broad Gauge series is ready for a statutory inspection by Am Chowdhary, the railway safety specialist in the southern Circle of Bangalore, from May 23 to 24.

Railway sources said the railway security specialist will start inspections from Peralam in the morning and travel in a car trolley accompanied by senior officials from the Southern Railway Construction Organization, Southern Railway and Tiruchi Railway departments.

A senior official from the Southern Railway Construction Organization, which carried out the project, said the inspection would be a detailed exercise.

The official said the railway safety specialist will inspect the main bridge, level cross-section, new station buildings, which are part of the project and establish signaling and telecommunications systems along the vast gauge department.

Electrification work has been completed simultaneously along this section, which has a major bridge, 77 small bridges and many limited subways.

A new station building was built in Thirunalar, a famous temple town that attracted devotees from all over Tamil Nadu and other states, which are in this section.

The official said the railway safety specialist will be on a special train on the festival on May 24 for a speed trial. The authorization of the Railway Safety Specialist is the authorization of passenger trains operating in this section.

A instrument line exists in the Karaikal-Peralam area and train services were suspended 40 years ago. With the new wide gauge line being built with overhead electrification, train services are recovering for joy for rail users in the region. Once commissioned, this section will reduce the travel time from Karaikal to Mayiladuthurai through Peralam.
