Raj

The alienated cousins Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray have sparked speculation about possible reconciliation with statements, suggesting that they may ignore “trivial issues” and be separated for nearly two decades after they are separated in a painful way.
Mr Raj, who is in charge of MNS, said “Maratimanos” It’s not difficult, said Uddhav Thackeray, director of Shiv Sena (UBT), who is ready to put aside the trivial battles, provided that those who have no entertainment with the interests of Maharashtra.
Mr Uddhav’s claim is seen as a cover-up mention of the MNS head who was recently chaired by Eknath Shinde, chief minister of rival Shiv Sena, in his residence.
Mr Uddhav Thackeray said without naming his cousin that no action was needed to help the “thieves”, apparently a reference to BJP and Mr Shinde Led Sena.
Raj Thackeray said in a podcast interview with film producer Mahesh Manjrekar that the buzz about reconciliation began a few weeks ago, but was released on Saturday (April 19, 2025) and he had no problems working with Mr. Uddhav of Undivided Shiv Sena. The question, he said, is whether Mr. Uddhav wants to work with him.
“For bigger reasons, our battles and problems are trivial. Maharashtra is very big. For Maharashtra, for Maharashtra Marathimanos (Maritime), these battles are very trivial. I don’t think it’s a difficult task to be united. But the problem is desire.
Mr Raj said: “It’s not a matter of my wish or selfishness. We need to see the larger picture. All Maharashtrians should form a political party.”
Later that day, at the event at UBT, Uddhav Thackeray said: “I am also ready to give up on trivial issues and I call on everyone to get together Marathimanos.
“It is impossible (you) support (BJP during the Lok Sabha poll) and then oppose (during the poll) and compromise. This is impossible.”
He added: “First of all, people who violate the interests of Maharashtra will not be welcomed at home, you will not go to their homes to break the bread with them. Then talk about the interests of Maharashtra.”
In the Lok Sabha poll, Mr Raj Thackeray announced unconditional support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Mr Uddhav further said that he was ready to put aside minor differences. “I mean I’m not fighting anyone, if anything, I’m working on them. But first decide.”
MNS spokesman Sandeep DeShpande had a bad experience with Mr Uddhav Thackeray in the 2014 Congress polls and 2017 Civic Bodus Polls, and his party had bad experiences when there were cousins who should have reunite.
“I don’t think (Raji) Sahbu After such a bad experience, any alliance advice has been made. Now they ask us not to talk to the BJP. (But) If Prime Minister Narendra Modi calls Mr Uddhav, he will run to the BJP. ” said Mr. Deshpande.
The two cousins shared a “blood connection,” said Sanjay Raut, leader of Schiff Senna. “Mr. Raj Thackeray made an opinion. JI Has responded. Now let’s wait for the viewing,” Mr Lauter said.
When asked about Mr. Udav’s request, he said they were not premises, but people’s feelings. He said: “The enemy of Maharashtra should not be entertained. Today’s BJP is the number one enemy of Maharashtra.”
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis told reporters elsewhere: “If they were together, we would be happy. The alienated people should be together, and if their controversy ended, that’s a good thing. … I think the media has too many readings between the two lines, so it’s going to be a while.” When asked if this would have an impact on the BMC election, he asserted that the NDA, led by the BJP, would be comfortable winning the polls.
“Whether to join forces with Mr. Uddhav Thackeray is entirely a privilege for Mr. Raj Thackeray. He can decide the future of his party. BJP has no objection to that.” The cousin’s statement was that the election of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation could be held this year, which could be held for three years.
Mr Raj, the nephew of Shiv Sena’s late founder Bal Thackeray, resigned in January 2006, accusing Mr Uddhav of his decision. He then introduced the MNS, initially adopting a strong anti-North India stance.
But after winning 13 seats in the 2009 General Assembly elections, MNS was pushed to the edge. It drew a gap in the 2024 conference poll.
Mr. Uddhav Thackeray suffered a major setback when Eknath Shinde split Shiv Sena and overthrew his government in 2022. Sena (UBT) has been reduced to 20 seats in parliamentary polls.
State Council Director Harshwardhan Sapkal said there was no reason to object if two Thackeray families were brought together.
He said in Pune: “When Raj Thackeray said his problem with Mr Uddhav Thackeray is no bigger than Maharashtra, he must suggest that the BJP has caused harm to Maharashtra. Congress and Shiv Sena are currently allies.
He added: “The BJP is trying to undermine the language and culture of Maharashtra, and Raj Thackeray’s position seems to support this view.”
