Raj Kasireddy sat down on Tuesday

Vijayawada: Raj Kasireddy, the main defendant in the Duoyi Liquor Scam, announced that he will appear in the case of inquiry by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). In an audio message released to the media, Casiddi said he will attend the SIT query between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. Tuesday.

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has postponed its expected bail petition for a week. Despite the earlier summons, Casiddi has been evading investigation.

It is worth noting that former Rajya Sabha MP V. Vijayasai Reddy appeared before SIT on Friday, April 18. Officials documented his statement, asking him about the state’s alcohol policy, liquor sales and the role and execution of various officials and individuals suspected of participating in the alleged scam.

After the meeting, Vijayasai Reddy spoke to the media, advocating his full cooperation with investigators. He revealed that he summoned him based on statements by former Andhra Pradesh Beverage Company Limited (APSBCL) MD DD Vasudeva Reddy and Satya Prasad, who had been previously questioned by SIT.

Vijayasai also describes Raj Kasireddy as a “Kingpin” of the alcohol scam.
