Rajamouli meets with Japanese game legend Sparks Buzz

Acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli recently had a virtual interaction with legendary Japanese game designer Hideo Kojima, which sparked a lot of excitement.
Zoom’s phone calls included Rajamouli’s son and producer SS Karthikeya and sparked speculation about potential collaborations. Hideo Kojima went on X (formerly Twitter) and shared screenshots of the virtual meeting, writing: “Along with SS Rajamouli and his son and producer SS Karthikeya.” Karthikeya added, citing the post, “excited about it,” fueling curiosity and excitement among fans and industry observers.
While some sources suggest that the meeting might be a casual conversation rather than a discussion for the project, the timing of the call coincides with Rajamali’s next film and seems to indicate something more specific.
Rajamouli and Kojima met for the first time on a promotional trip to RRR in Japan in 2022, and they reportedly expressed their connection to the shared enthusiasm of storytelling, video games and cinemas. Rajamouli expressed admiration for Kojima and tweeted after their face-to-face meeting: “It’s a pleasure and honor to meet the legendary Japanese @hideo_kojima.
