Navin Nischol then married Divivcee Geetanjali. However, on April 24, 2006, Geetanjali hanged his residence. She accused Navin and his brother Pravin of committing suicide.
She left a suicide ticket claiming that Navin had “harassed” her and that she was “mentally tortured” while Navin’s brother Pravin “incited” him to harass her. This resulted in Navin Nischol and his brother Pravin being taken to police custody by the District Court until 6 May 2006. As India reported today, Navin Nischol’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde claimed that Geetanjali suffered from depression and had problems with alcoholism. Navin Nischol and his brother Pravin were eventually released.
On March 19, 2011, Navin Nischol died of a heart attack in Pune. From his first marriage, he had two daughters, Natasha and Nomita.
