Repeated predators sentenced to 25 years of RI within 55 days after Odisha complaint

Repeated sexual predators were sentenced to 25 years of strict jail within 55 days of registering for complaints, supported by Jharsuguda police, supported by Swift investigation in Odisha. Two minors received monetary compensation, each of which was Rs 8 lakh.

POCSO (Protecting Children from Sexual Crime) Court Judge Court Judge Special Court Judge, Puja Sarangi, convicted Ajit Nag, has been charged with multiple sexual assaults on an 11-year-old boy and being subject to strict jail.

On March 23, a woman filed a complaint at the Brajarajarjnagar police station in Jharsuguda district, claiming that her 11-year-old son was forcibly sent by Nag to a secluded place where he forced him to commit unnatural sexual acts.

“When her son protested, Nag beat him up and threatened to strangle him to death. Her son returned home and told her about his torture. Her son had been sexually assaulted on her son several times in the past. According to her son, Nag also sexually assaulted his nephew and other boys.”

Nag has been linked to rape cases before. Mr Parshottamdas said: “We use scientific research techniques, such as DNA analysis, to ensure convictions in such a sensational situation. We have also successfully convicted two minor boys in a rape case within 55 days of registration for FIR.”

“This situation is a powerful example of proactive policing, scientific evidence collection and sometimes prosecutions can be achieved. It conveys a strong and clear message,” he said. He added that belief in duplicate sexual predators in recorded time not only strengthens public trust in the justice system, but also sets a model for child protection and rapid judicial service.
