West Bengal Governor, NHRC, NCW Check RIOT HIT JANGIPUR

`Burhampur: West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose visited Riot Hit attack area in Jangipur, Murhidabad on Saturday and assured people affected by anti-Walker legal violence his assistance
In the morning, Mr. Boss arrived at Zafalabad village and met with the family of Haragobinda Das with his son Chandan, who was hacked to death on April 12. Haragobinda’s wife Parul and Chandan’s wife Pinki fell at Mr. Bose’s feet.
They tell how hundreds of armed rioters rushed into their house and brutally murdered their husbands. They also complained to the governor about the arrival of the police four hours late, despite repeated calls and demanding justice and permanent BSF camps in the area.
He told them: “If you are facing further trouble, just call me directly” and then shared his ‘peace room’ phone number at Raj Bhavan in Kolkata. Later, Mr. Bous said: “People are still scared. I will take the appropriate steps and guide the appropriate authorities, the state government and the centre, to restore peace at all costs.”
The governor also walked into other areas of Dhulian and Shamsherganj. The villagers of Zafarabad and Betbona also showed placards to Mr. Bose and the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and the National Council for Women (NCW).
The placard reads: “We want justice. We don’t believe in the police. We ask for an investigation by the NIA.” In Betbona Village, a group of angry villagers stopped some police cars at the rear of the governor’s convoy.
They accused the police of misleading Mr. Bosay and blocking the vehicles for an hour. The governor’s convoy later returned to Betbona from Dhulian Ghoshpara. Mr. Boss received their written complaint.
Meanwhile, the NHRC team visited Zafarabad village and met affected villagers. They also inventory many torch houses in other areas of Dhulian, Ratanpur and Shamsherganj.
On the other hand, the NCW team led by Chairman Vijaya Rahatkar also visited Zafarabad, Betbona, Digri, Shulitala, Ratanpur and other villages and tried to comfort the affected people.
Many, including women, claim that if the government wants to build it, they are ready to provide land for permanent BSF camps to live peacefully. Otherwise, they may transfer to Jharkhand to live. Mrs. Lahatka said: “Look at how these women are tortured here. They have lost money and property. Even modest people are angry. The Union Home Office is studying all aspects of violence.”
In another incident, Malda Southern MP Isha Khan Chowdhury and State Party Director Subhankar Sarkar faced affected anger during their visit. Angry villagers asked them: “Where are you tortured, beaten and killed, attacked, destroyed when our houses and property are burned.”
Mr Sakal said: “It was their natural outbreak. But we want to know who caused the public riots? When the BJP came on, TMC provided the game box.”
