Rera orders Orchid Building to solve the problem

Hyderabad: Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has ordered builder Erusu Praneet Reddy to address issues raised by residents of Orchid Building Apartments.
According to a complaint filed by residents of Orchid Building, the building has serious problems such as cracks in walls and ceilings, exposed wires, drainage failures and seepage. They also complain about well-structured driveways and ramps that can cause accidents, as well as complaints about low-quality pipes and electrical accessories. They claim that these problems are not due to regular wear and tear, but to construction defects.
Residents said they have reported the issues several times and asked builders to be responsible for addressing them. They believe that these problems existed even before they moved in and were never properly addressed by the builders.
The builder said in response that he gave the homes in good condition and accused residents of not taking care of them. He also said some residents made changes in the apartment, which could have caused these problems.
After hearing both sides, RERA discovered that the builder had to take responsibility for some defects and fix them. These include repairing drainage systems, sealing cracks on the terrace and adjusting the toilet height.
