RERA Orders Shanthi Construction to Complete Miyapur Project

Hyderabad: A flat buyer has filed a complaint with Telangana real estate regulator (Tgrera) against Shanthi Buildings in a residential project in Miyapur, accusing developers of incomplete buildings, unsafe conditions and violations of building regulations.

The complainant purchased an apartment at Shanthi Trikuta residence and said that even if the builder had obtained a certificate of occupancy, basic facilities such as lifts and municipal water supply were not ready.

She also worried about how the builders received the certificate, and according to her, construction works are still underway.

The complainant further noted that a subdivision was built in the parking lot, with the children’s play area in a dangerous location close to the high voltage transformer, which she said was not part of the approved plan and posed a safety risk.

In his response, the builder denied all the charges. He claimed that the project complies with all regulations and that the occupancy certificate is valid.

During this case, RERA discovered differences when issuing the occupancy certificate and raised concerns about project compliance with the approved plan. Authorities now direct the builders to correct the violation, which includes removing unauthorized structures and completing all promised amenities.
