Revanth Reddy filed a petition in the High Court

Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has asked the High Court to revoke a case of defamation brought against him in a special special court of the People’s Representative.
The case originated from a speech delivered last year during the general election held by Bhadradri Kothagudem.
BJP leader Kasam Venkateshwarlu filed a complaint claiming Reddy made false statements accusing BJP of canceling reservations if it wins the election.
Venkateshwarlu provides audio and video recordings of speeches as evidence. Reddy believes the case lacks merit and asks the High Court to withdraw the lawsuit and defend his appearance from a mandatory court. The High Court is scheduled to consider the petition on Thursday.
