PM Modi in Mudra Yojana for 10 years

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated their people on Tuesday for their transformation through Mudra Yojana and said the plan turned several dreams into reality by enhancing people’s capabilities.

“Today, as we mark, #10 years, I want to congratulate all those who have changed their lives by this plan. In this decade, Mudra Yojana has turned several dreams into reality, giving shining people who were previously ignored by financial support. This illustrates the impossible for the Indian people!” PM Modi posted on X.

He further stated that every Mudra loan has dignity, self-esteem and opportunity.

He added: “What is particularly exciting is that half of the Mudra beneficiaries belong to the SC, ST and OBC communities, and more than 70% of the beneficiaries are women! Every Mudra loan has dignity, self-esteem and opportunity. In addition to financial inclusion, the program ensures social inclusion and economic freedom.”

The Prime Minister further stated that the central government will continue to focus on ensuring that every aspiring entrepreneur has a strong ecosystem.

“In the coming times, our government will continue to focus on ensuring a strong ecosystem where credit is available to that aspiring entrepreneur, thus giving him or her confidence and opportunities to grow.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also interact with Mudra Yojana beneficiaries today.

The Prime Minister’s flagship program PMMY is designed to fund micro-enterprises and small businesses without funds. By eliminating the burden on collateral and simplifying the access, Mudra laid the foundation for the era of grassroots entrepreneurship.

Life has changed nationwide. Kamlesh, a home tailor in Delhi, expanded her job, hired three other women and included her children in a good school. Bindu starts with 50 brooms every day and now leads a unit that generates 500. These are no longer exceptions. According to the ministry, they reflect a larger shift.

Today, India marks the 10 years of Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) according to an official statement from the Ministry of Finance.
