Gaza rescuers say Israeli air strikes kill 25

Israel resumed air and ground attacks on Gaza on March 18, with the focus on combat following a two-month ceasefire, suspending war on coastal territory for more than 15 months.
“Since dawn today, air strikes by the profession have killed 20 people and injured dozens of people, including children and women in the Gaza Strip,” said Mahmud Bassal, a spokesman for the Civil Defense Agency.
In another later statement, the agency reported that five people died in an Israeli drone strike during a group of civilians in eastern Rafah.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Saturday to continue the war and take his remaining hostages home without succumbing to Hamas’ demands.
“We are at a critical stage of the campaign, and at this point, we need patience and determination to win,” Netanyahu said in a statement, rejecting calls from the militarys to end the war and withdraw troops from Gaza.Since Israel resumed its offensive last month, at least 1,827 people have been killed in Gaza, according to the Hamas-run territory’s health ministry.The overall death toll in the Gaza war has reached 51, in 201, most were civilians, and according to the Ministry, the United Nations considers reliable.
According to Israeli official figures, Hamas broke out after an unprecedented attack on Israel in October 2023, killing 1,218 people.
In that attack, Palestinian militants kidnapped 251 people, 58 of whom were still hijacked in Gaza, including 34 deaths.
