Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) canceled the encroachment of government land and recovered property worth tens of millions of rupees in Hafeezpet and Raidurgam areas. The operation identified illegal construction activities, including the establishment of residential complexes and unauthorized commercial developments on major government lands.
The operation focused on the No. 79 investigation of Hafeezpet, located in the Serial Apartments in Kondapur, where over 19 acres have been illegally developed by Vasanta Homes Company. The company misled authorities by creating a fake survey number 79/1 and carrying out construction work on the land that it misled the authorities, which was registered as “banned” in revenue records. Despite pending cases in the Supreme Court, the company still builds and sells homes on the land, builds commercial offices and several sheds on the remaining 20 acres that were rented to various organizations.
Hydraa officials demolished the illegal building and removed the fence proposed by the invaders, marking it as a board of directors on government property. After the Supreme Court expressed concern about the ongoing construction, despite the lack of a final ordinance in the case, questioning how the work was allowed to proceed in violation of court orders.
Narne Estates Raidurgam
Complaints from local young people reported that he and other cricketers were denied access to their usual playing field and had a second surgery at Raidurgam. The invaders have begun to build roads and destroy nearby ponds. A Hydraa investigation shows that private company Narne Estates has advertised the board of directors to sell land, wrongly claiming ownership of the area. According to Hillaa officials, it was also found that the occupiers built unauthorized layouts and sold land, including land occupied by ponds.
The agency filed a police complaint in both cases. Further investigation is underway.
