Delhi youth stabbed a friend after controversy near Kirby Place Bus Stop

The incident occurred around 9:30 pm in Kirby Place, along a lonely road with fast moving vehicles but no pedestrians or open shops. When the Indian era visited the site the second day, dry blood marked the ground. There was only one person standing near the near-empty bus stop.
According to police, the two have known each other for about a year. Both of them worked in the Sadar Bazar area where they started with an acquaintance.
Surendra Choudhary of DCP (Southwest) confirmed that the two were friends, but tensions were increasing.
As TOI reported, he said: “When inquiring, we found that young people and women knew each other and were friends over the past year. Because of some of the controversy between them, the young people stabbed her in the neck and abdomen and then tried to hurt themselves by stabbing themselves in the stomach.”
Amit is currently on a ventilator, a police officer said. Investigators are waiting for his condition to improve before asking him.
CCTV footage earlier in the day showed the two passing through Sadar Bazar around 4 p.m. At first, the interaction seemed casual – they were talking, while Vijaylaxmi paused her hair.
After a moment, things changed. Amit was seen holding her arm and pushing her towards the parked car. The argument continues under the tree, although they eventually left together, seemingly calm again.
At night, until around 9:30 pm, violent disputes broke out near the Kirby Plaza bus station.
Vijaylaxmi’s 25-year-old sister told TOI that she had seen two people a few hours before the attack.
“I saw them at Sadar Bazar around 7pm. Everything seemed normal between them. I knew they were friends, so I didn’t think much about it. We wanted her to come home during the usual time. But the next thing was that our hospital was injured from the hospital. She was seriously injured on her. A self-driving driver was there and we called her right away.
The family also claimed that Amit had been haunting Vijaylaxmi for a while.
Police said they were waiting for her to regain consciousness in the ICU so that they could record her statements.
An official involved in the investigation said he had not spoken in recent days and had been arguing.
“They didn’t get along and didn’t talk for a few days. The young man called her to meet him on Sunday and during the interaction, a fierce argument broke out and he stabbed her later.”
Amit was booked under Article 109 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for attempted murder. Police from Delhikant Station are continuing their investigation.
As the two remained hospitalized, the motive for the attack and the incident that led to the attack remained partially unclear. Authorities hope that more details will appear once either party regains consciousness.
