Rohit Sharma's Drs Call Sparks is hugely controversial, fans asked: “How can the referee allow it?”

During the match 50 of IPL 2025, LBW comments about Rohit Sharma were controversial because many fans were frustrated when changing the live decision.

Mumbai Indians’ opener Rohit Sharma found himself at the heart of a heated debate in his IPL 2025 match against Rajasthan Royals, thanks to the controversial DRS decision. Fans buzzed, reviewing whether the request was made after the 15-second window was closed.

In the second game of the match, RR's Pace bowler Fazalhaq Farooqi trapped Rohit Sharma in front of the stump. The referee called out loudly, his fingers raised, making Rohit look a little uncertain whether to challenge the phone.

With a few seconds of ticking, Rohit seemed ready to walk away, indicating that he would accept the decision. But, just as the timer reaches zero, some people think he sprints to signal for review.

The TV referee finally decided that the delivery was sold outside the stump on the legs, resulting in the on-site call being overturned. Rohit breathed a sigh of relief, his smile revealing his distance from the early exit.

Although the comment was good for MI, social media introduced to fans whether Rohit asked it was too late. According to IPL rules, players must request review within 15 seconds of the on-site decision. The video spread now, triggering a debate about whether Rohit was on time or a little late.

Rohit put the controversy on the shelves and makes the most of his second chance. The former MI captain went on to earn a crucial 53 goals, establishing a 116-shot opening partner with Ryan Rickelton, their highest of the season so far. In the process, Rohit also became the first player to run 6,000 runs for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL to make history.
