In an incredible similarity, Rohit Sharma’s retirement announcement includes MS Dhoni Connect. Mumbaikar posted a brief message in his Instagram story on Wednesday (May 7), along with his test cap, indicating that he will no longer play the longest format for India.
Rohit’s message time is 17:29 pm, which coincides with the exact time of Dhoni, who posted similar information on the same social media platform on August 15, 2020.
Back in 2020, Ms. Dhoni started his official Socail Media handle and shared a video with the title: “Thank you so much for your love and support. From 1929 to 1929, HRS thought I was retired.”
Rohit posted his test cap of 280 in his Instagram Story Wednesday night, writing: “Hello everyone, I just want to share that I am retiring from Test cricket. The absolute honor of representing my country is white. Thank you for all your love and support over the years. I will continue to represent India in the form of ODI.”
The coincidence of their careers is not over. Dhoni and Rohit both performed final tests at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia and at the final home test match at Wankhede Stadium.
