Former all-rounder Moeen Ali said Indian strike stamina Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the Test series in England would give the owner a “huge boost” and added that Shubman Gill could be the team for next month’s tough five-game tour.
Rohit and Virat announced their retirement from Test cricket, who left India with no two of the most experienced players participating in the series, which is also the beginning of the 2025-2027 World Test Championship cycle.
The series will begin with an opening test at Headingley on June 20.
