“Local MLA and minister Kapil Mishra have been pushing the project. As there are many trees in the area, we decided to build a bridge instead of the traditional road. After discussions with the Chief Minister, the project was approved and after deliberations with the flood department, work will begin,” Verma said. ”
The elevated highway will extend from Nanaksar Gurudwara to Shani Mandir (upper border), providing relief to thousands of daily commuters.
Karawal Nagar Mla Kapil Mishra emphasized the significance of the project, saying: “The BJP government is working quickly and this project is a testament to this. This road has become a major problem for the residents of Trans-Yamuna and today, we have addressed this problem. We use this route every day.”
PWD Minister Verma, along with Delhi’s Minister of Drinking Water and Tourism and Culture Minister Kapil Mishra, inspected the area, including Nanaksar Gurudwara Chowk, to review ongoing improvements and assess the feasibility of the project.
