The Union Home Ministry said on Friday (May 2, 2025) that the Drug Control Bureau (NCB) seized Rs 5,47 crore worth of drugs and 15 people were arrested in this regard.

“Bharat cuts the drug cartel with ruthless aggressiveness. NCB's Amritsar regional unit transferred the cartel through a 4-month operation axe in 4 states, seizing drugs worth Rs 54.7 crore and arresting Rs 15,” Union Home Amit Shah wrote on x.
It said the action was a huge step forward in establishing a drug-free India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision.
