tirupati: The Red Sanders Counter Interview Task Force (RSASTF) seized 72 Red Sanders logs worth about Rs 25 crore, located in the Sri Karahastie Forest area of ​​Tirupati area. Seven smugglers were arrested and also caught a truck and a car during the operation.
The operation was led by DSP G. Baliriddy and RSI C. Vinod Kumar and his team under the direction of Task Force SP P. Srinivas, under the direction of RSASTF chief L. subbarayudu. The team conducted a tidy operation in the Sri Karahastie Forest area on Sunday, inspecting the entrance and exit points.
During a vehicle inspection near Dommarapalle on Panguru Main Road in Katur Forest Beat, the team found a car, followed by a truck parked at a short distance. As the police approached, the crew tried to escape but was arrested.
After inspection, it was found that the truck carried 72 red sander logs. The arrested included four residents of the Tirupati area and three residents from Tamil Nadu. All seven, as well as the cleared logs and vehicles, were taken to the Tirupati Task Force Police Station. CI Suresh Kumar registered the case and is leading an investigation.
